Holiday season in Canada

So it's been 5 years since I moved to Canada, but 2020 is actually the first time I've been in town for the holidays. Every December, I'm usually back in Singapore, living it up in the tropical heat as my peers in Canada bear down the cold of winter.

It was undoubtedly very strange to be here in December, it felt almost out of place. And more than anything, all my plans that revolved around going back to Singapore (see my parents, renew my passport, stock up my snacks) all came crashing down. I had to figure things out here, especially the passport thing, and more than ever, do I feel so very, very, very far away from home.

It can get lonely in the winters as it is, and the Covid situation certainly isn't helping. How I miss you my dear Singapore...
