To Travel or Not to Travel
Never before has the topic of travel been of such controversy. People are still traveling, there is no doubt, and it is difficult for authorities to determine whether the travel should be considered essential or not. If someone is traveling to visit their elderly parents because they haven't seen them in more than 2 years since the pandemic started, would that be considered essential or not? And if it isn't considered essential, isn't that just... inhumane? I did travel, to attend my sister's wedding. Met my whole family and just felt so much better and rejuvenated. But when the time came to say goodbye, my mom cried and asked me: My darling, when will I see you again? To say my heart broke is an understatement. In these circumstances, who can say when we will ever travel to meet family again?
