Social Distancing
Hot topic now, I know. In fact, it seems to be the only topic on everyone's minds: this virus, the number of cases, what's happening elsewhere, things closing all around us - it's a lot. Being an overseas Singaporean, it's been hard really, knowing that the flights are being cancelled and the convenience of travel is no longer there. I'm here in Canada, but at the back of my mind my parents, my family, my friends are back in Singapore and not knowing when all this will end and when I could see them again, is a scary thought. And for my aging parents, knowing that I can only tell them to take care of themselves but not actually be there for them physically, has been very scary and sad at the same time. All we can do at this point is pray. Pray for safety and health of everyone around the world, and pray that we as humankind overcome this in a united front.
