Driving test
I've been telling people in Singapore that I need to take my driving test, and their response has always been the same - haven't you been driving there for years already? That's the thing - Canada has 3 test: the theory test, the road test, and after you've had enough practice, a highway test! Singapore just has the road test. Highways in Singapore are pretty small, short and kind of curvy, since well, it is an island. On the other way, highways here have 6 to 8 lanes and they go on for very long stretches completely straight. Admittedly, my first few drives on the highways here were quite nerve wrecking, what with the huge cargo trucks driving right next to you too. Regardless, now I've become really comfortable, and hopefully I pass this test with no issues. Funny thing is, in Singapore, driving tests were such that the slower you drive the better - I swear I drove at 20km/h throughout my test and passed. Here, speed limit is key.
