I'll take some milk... in a bag please?!

So, there are many things that make Canada unique, but one particular thing that stood out to me from the beginning is bagged milk. Yes, you read that right! In Canada, milk in sold in bags like so: Now I know what you're thinking - won't the milk just spill everywhere if you try to open it?! Well, that was my exact thought the first time I saw it too. But then my husband grabbed a pitcher, slid the whole packet of milk into it (plastic bag and all), and then used a scissors and cut a small little opening in the corner. He happily poured it into his cereal as he watched my bewildered expression. I decided to do some research about this, and found out that bagged milk started in Canada in 1968, and they never really moved on from it... sticking to their roots really! It is rather admirable, won't you say?
